View Project
Scope of works:
- Demolition of the first floor and raising the ridge
- Double dormer loft extension
- Rear extension
- Rendering, roof tiles and rooflights
- Complete internal reconfiguration
A key goal of the family was to create a forever home for the family and maximising the space. This was achieved by knocking down the whole first floor and raising the ridge which would allow for more head height, also by building two rear dormers, two dormers to the front which then created four bedrooms a family bedroom and an ensuite.
The modern look is what was desired by the client, so it was completed with grey roof tiles, aluminium windows and rendering which matches the rest of the property.
One key aspect for this family however was to make sure the home would be accommodating for those with limited mobility. This was achieved by enlarging rooms, corridors, and doorways, so wheelchairs are able to move freely.
The main attraction of the home however, is the kitchen area, which looks onto the beautiful garden from all angles, it is complete with 2 large skylights, 3 fixed panels and two sets of bi-fold doors, so there is no deficit of light in the property.
